Evil out weights Good

What I've learned about genocide I believe that evil out weights good. Hitler, Khmer Rouge, and Cambodia.         Hitler who ruled Germany had soldiers storming through the streets of Germany and take every Jewish person to be taken from there homes and forced onto cramped train carts. After their long journey they entered a concentration camp. The men who were young, and strong and could handle hard labor were kept, while the elderly, women, babies, and children were misled by soldiers telling them they were getting showers but they were taken to a gas chamber where over 11 million people were killed. The strong men worked for days. They had little food to eat, they were worked like dogs and everyday their lives were in danger. The soldiers could kill you without any reason, and they made the people that were going to be killed dig their own graves. Talk about having no soul or care for another human being.
The Khmer Rouge a group that took over Cambodia killed over 1,386,734 innocent people, and many more were forced into work camps, the children became mindless zombies obeying every law. People who were suspected of being part of the government were executed. Children, were set out to kill and watch over the workers.
Jim Jones someone who had a certain charismatic to him led people to drink poison because he promised that they'd be reborn with a new profound life. He had people leave their homes and move down to this village he had and he made them work, but he always had food and shelter for them. He had the voice that everyone wanted to hear. The people didn't think for themselves, and he made these people drink poison, but when he asked his followers to do so, some refused to do it. So the doctors there held them down and gave them a shot in the arm to spread the virus. He told his followers that if they truly believed that what he says is true then they shouldn't listen to anyone else.

So in conclusion  evil weighs out good in situations and it should be the other way around but it's how the world is, but we should change that by not having history repeat itself but the only way to change the world is by changing what we do in times like these.

Evil Outweighs Good

Terryon Hudley
Genocide paper

An estimated eleven million people were killed. Six million of these people were Jews. 1.1 million of these people were children. So where is the line that separates’ good and evil? The bad outweighs the good in a lot of situations. Pure evil orchestrated the Holocaust and other genocides dating from WWII to present day. It is very easy to be evil and do wrong; however, it is amazingly challenging to do the right thing and be a hero.
While reading the book and researching other genocides, I realized that evil is more persuasive than good. This also tests religious views as it tested Elies’ when he asked “Where is god now?” By asking this seems like he wonders how could someone sit back and watch a little boy be hanged. How is that godly? This shows that evil outweighs good seeing how easy it to watch or participate in evil rather than stand up and fight against them. It took long enough time for eleven million people to die before someone could come save the Jewish race. Elie also followed his question about god with and answer “Here he is hanging there on the gallows.” He says this because he just saw a young boy being hanged for working against the Nazis. This just backs up the conclusion I have come to that evil outweighs good.
Currently, in today’s age there still very bad doings and inhumane killings. Just recently a gunmen opened fire on college students; at least forty of them died. There is no escaping evil. This man had an option to pull the trigger. Why did he not pull it? The temptation and possibly the enjoyment of evil doings over powered his good will. This was the third attack on schools since June. All of this because you believe western education is a sin… While reading this article I wondered what propaganda le a group of people to do these things.

Overall, I would say that evil pans out to be way more persuading than good because all of these occurrences have been nothing but evil. It is rare that you hear about heroes on the news but every single day there is a new murder. Not completely giving up on people I just don’t understand. Why is evil more enticing than good to a lot of people? Why are there more murders than rescues?  Why is good always being outweighed by evil?
