Combat Trauma By James D. Johnson

Nightmares every night, depression, anger, and flashbacks about combat, these are the emotions and problems former soldiers face on a day to day life.  In the first couple of pages of the book a former soldier is having a nightmare about being shot in combat and not being able to do, not being able to scream for help, and not being able to move to safety.  It talks about how real the gunshots sound and how real the blood feels rolling down his side and when he feels like his life is over he wakes up in his own bed next to his wife.  He still doesn't know weather or not he is dead or it was just a bad dream.
